Sectional Star of the week

Albufeira Race 7 Otaki 14 April

This was a top run after being very slow away and getting back. Then to almost win running by far superior closing sectionals in all categories, shows that Lisa Allpress won't be jumping off this tough mare in a hurry.

Aris Aris Race 6 Te Rapa 16 April

After working early to secure the trail, she closed off hard for a close second in the best last 200m. She handles a wet track well and looks stronger now. She must be hard to beat second up as she ran a close second, second up, last campaign to a very good horse in Pareanui Bay.

Pow Wow Race 9 Te Rapa 16 April

He fought well for third behind two progressive horses after being on a solid tempo. A wet track will only enhance his chances and he will be fitter next up.

Tramore Race 2 Otaki 14 April

She almost tore off a major plunge when she moved midrace to get handy and was run down in the last 50 metres. She will relish any moisture in the tracks and looks very hard to beat next up.

Sharp 'N' Smart  Race 2 Ruakaka 13 April cost himself the win with inexperience when he ran about when looking a winner. His closing sectionals were excellent considering the tempo of the race.
