- Price: Shares available down to 1% - $960 per each 1%. Monthly costs are set at $40 per month per each 1% commencing 1 OctoberBRIGGS has been identified by Champion Singapore Trainer, Mark Walker as an ideal type for Singapore Racing
Now a Three Old Gelding, BRIGGS was acquired as a yearling by the China Horse Club/Newgate partnership, who fancied him as a Stallion prospect due to his very strong pedigree, for A$220,000 at the 2020 Magic Million Yearling Sale. However after trials and three race day starts in NSW and showing signs of real coltiness, his ownership group decided to sell him unreserved, as they do not race geldings, preferring to focus on Stallion prospects
Fortuna acquired BRIGGS at the May 2021 Inglis Online Sale. We then gelded him and he agisted in NSW for two months before traveling to Singapore – he exited Singapore quarantine 20th August – he is now being prepared to race by Fortuna’s Three Time Champion Singapore Trainer, Mark Walker and should be ready to have his first race in Singapore late November 2021 in Restricted Maiden Grade for S$75,000.As a non winner BRIGGS will be eligible to contest Restricted Maiden Grade events in Singapore, a Grade which carries S$75,000 of prizemoney (approx NZ$80,000 – depending on current exchange rate). Once winning in that Grade, he will then be eligible to race in Novice Grade, a Grade which also carries S$75,000 of prizemoney (approx NZ$80,000 – depending on current exchange rate). As a Three Year Old in the 2021/2122 Season BRIGGS will be eligible for the very lucrative Three Year Old Series run during May and June 2022Click HERE to see a Video Clip of BRIGGS parading Friday 3rd September with voiceover from Mark WalkerFull details available Fortuna website HEREContact: John GalvinEmail: [email protected]Call or text: 021 921 460

The Almanzor ex Claudine filly presented as a mature, powerfully made yearling oozing quality. She is by the exciting first season sire Almanzor, the 2016 European champion 3yo whose eight career wins included three at Group 1 level and three as a 2yo. Almanzor's French champion sire Wootton Bassett was unbeaten from five 2yo starts including a Group 1 earning him the French champion juvenile mantle. The filly's dam is by champion Australian racehorse Lonhro while her second dam was a winner at 2 in France and has produced a Group 2 winner in Australia and another stakes placed. The third dam Sharp Point was a stakes winning speedster in Ireland and Group 1 placed at 2. This is a high class international female line which also produced 2018 Japan champion sprinter/miler Fine Needle, whose dam is a half sibling of the Almanzor filly's grand dam.
This filly has smooth transition, and very good body control. She identified targets and moved confidently into them, with fluency and forward overflow. She appeared to have a high-functioning sensory system that assists her in assimilating to changing environments. Her emotional energy distribution looked very good. Even when she had the occasional disruption, she has quickly recovered to an athletic baseline, showing class at a young age.

Breeding:Belardo x Tiff and Co (O’Reilly)
Trainer:Mike Moroney & Pam Gerard, MatamataPrice: 5% share =$4,298, and $250/month ongoing expenses. 1% share=$860, and $50/month ongoing expenses. Price includes Horse Share, Karaka Millions Nomination, Insurance, Valuation, Vetting at Sales, sale expenses and research fee.
The Belardo ex Tiff And Co yearling colt has a striking resemblance to his maternal grandsire, champion racehorse and sire Shamardal which was the 2004 European champion 2yo, as was Belardo 10 years later. Belardo has made a flying start to his stallion career, producing four Group or Stakes winning juveniles from his first European crop and a 2yo stakes winner, also placed in the Karaka Millions, from his current first New Zealand crop. This colt hails from a precocious English juvenile family including his second dam Myself, placed in the prestigious Royal Ascot Queen Mary Stakes at 2, a race won by his third dam Pushy, a half-sister to G1 winning unbeaten juvenile Precocious (5 starts at 2, 5 wins including four Group races).
This young colt displayed a very natural and fluent connection between his mind and body. He covered ground forwardly and aggressively, with a good rhythm. His movements looked purposeful and indicative of a competitively natured mindset as he often targeted forward.
