Big effort for third fresh-up without much luck. Had economical run but couldn’t get clear when full of running and hit the line when clear over the final stages. Showed staying promise in last campaign so keep watch as she steps up in trip.

 

Pukekohe, November 23

 

Massive effort to get up late for third. Settled back as expected and ridden for luck, but none came until very late and he dived through. May not have beaten the easy winner, but certainly stamped his prospects in upcoming feature sprints.

 

 

Wanganui, November 23

 

Deserves another chance after having his momentum halted at just the wrong time and then having to regather himself. Hit the line hard and with more luck will take some beating back there on Saturday.

 

 

Winton, November 24

 

Got home late for third after getting back on the inside and then having to work into the clear. That was a good pipe-opener in a new campaign.
