Race 5 Trentham, 15 June

Blackwood Star

It is not every day that runners over a middle distance run the best last 600 metres of the day. ( excluding down the chute runners )  But this mare did it easily! It was only her third run back and she struck her favoured heavy track. So she is in for a profitable next couple of months.

Race 6 Trentham, 15 June

Subtle Tease

She sat on a solid pace and was only just run down late for second. That was her first run over ground and she looks set to win next up.

Race 4 Trentham, 15 June

Miss Dixie

She set a solid pace and was able to kick strongly and hold on to win. It was a very good ride by the apprentice and she can race again in R65 grade next start. With her 4 kg claim, she can do the same again next start.

Race 4 Te Rapa, 15 June

Gospodin

In a race where the leader got her own way and won, he kept on giving to grab second in the best last 200 metres of the day. He looks ready to put his hoof in the winners till.

Race 9 Te Rapa, 15 June

Hit The Switch

He got back then moved wide on the corner. With 250m to run he was checked by a fallen runner yet was still able to run the best last 200 metres of the race to finish eighth. That was his second run back and he looks set to strike third up.
