No match for impressive winner Freebelle, but still fought well down the straight to be comfortably the best of the rest. Has a good record over 1600m and on heavy tracks and looks a likely Rating 65 winner some time in the next few weeks.

This was a big effort on debut. Held up for a run along the inside until halfway down the straight, he warmed into his work nicely to produce a strong finish for second. A maiden win doesn’t look far away.
