Goldburg Race 5 Matamata 8 October

In a race that favoured on-pace runners, it was strong second that he ran in the quickest closing sectionals. Looks to have plenty of upside.

Side By Side Race 6 Ruakaka 5 October

She ran home strongly for second in the quickest last 400 metres of the race and second quickest last 200m. She will improve with that and will be hard to beat next up.

Chikira Lass Race 7 Waverley 6 October

She may have only have finished seventh but her last 200m was the fastest in the race and she was fresh up. Last season she won second up and looks set to do the same.

Redford Race 4 South Canterbury 7 October

He closed nicely late for second in a quick last 200m. The good draw helped and with a decent marble next up, can go one better.

Iconic Lass Race 4 Hawera 8 October

After setting a solid tempo she fought well for second. Her best form is over 1200 and maybe over  that distance she can go one better.
