Ciambella Race 5 Ruakaka August 20

She set the pace outside the second horse and still kept giving for the second best last 200 metres to run second. It was an excellent effort for a mare racing out of her grade and will be spot on next up.

Hit The Road Jack Race 3 Ruakaka August 20

He was given the perfect ride by Elen Nicholas when she moved midrace on him when the pace slackened. Then used his staying ability to draw away. It was only his third run back and based on that, there is a good handicap in him.

Lord Cosmos Race 4 Ruakaka August 20

He ran the quickest last 400 and 200 metres of the race and that effort and giving weight away, told in the last 200. He will spot on next up.

Markus Aurelius Race 6 Ruakaka August 20

The way he kept up a sustained finish to run fourth in the second best sectionals, shows that he is on track for a good season.

Aoide Race 3 Race 6 Cambridge August 17

She only just went down late after being taken on by the smart One Power. The race time was almost a track record so she has a win in her very soon.
