It was his third run back and he almost won at his first attempt over ground this campaign. His closing sectionals were excellent and he looks very hard to keep out next-up.

Tabata Race 6 Te Aroha 27 November

She was never really in the hunt for prizemoney but she was doing her best work late after easing back from a wide draw. Back in an easier field, with a decent draw, she could easily bounce back to form.

Ha'penny Bridge Race 4 Wanganui 27 November 

A slow start meant he got well back, but the way he motored home in the best sectionals in all categories, shows he is on track to repeat his second-up win over 1600m of last campaign.

Maria Dior Race 6 Wanganui 27 November 

This tough six-year-old mare seems to have found a new lease of life. She just had no peace from Showbourne midrace but still almost held on from a fast closing Aotea Lad, who had a nice drop on her. She should be very hard to run down next up in R74 grade, as long as nothing else wastes its time taking her on.
