JUSTASKME - Race 5 New Plymouth

Closed off strongly late down the outer running the fastest L200m of the race. 1400m looks ideal for this nice galloper next up.

EDIT - Race 3 Ellerslie

After beginning awkwardly he ended up 3 back inner off a slow tempo running the first 600m in 37.24 so had no chance of winning when they sprinted home from there in 33.41. So to get up for second with the fastest closing sectionals in all categories for the race was an excellent effort. He wanted to run out down the straight so maybe better left-handed.

CONCRET HALL - Race 8 Ellerslie

The way she closed off and almost won, running the fastest closing sectionals in all categories was really good to see. She is a very good mare and is going to pick up some good races this campaign.

KACHHI - Race 8 Ellerslie

The tempo of the race favoured on pace runners so get up for sixth in the second-fastest closing sectionals, shows that he is right in track to repeat his second up win from his last campaign.

SIGNORA NERA - Race 5 Woodville

She did very well to come from back and wide in the open, then come very wide on the turn to run third in the fastest L400 and L200 of the race. More ground and a better run will help her chances next start.

HUMBUCKER - Race 6 Matamata

The way he found the line for second to the smart Entriviere in the best speed rating all day, means this strong looking 4yo gelding can win a maiden, maybe over more ground, at short notice.

LORD PAINTON - Race 5 Matamata

It took a good horse in Rocket Spade to beat him after he was left a sitting duck 300 metres out. He seemed to relish the better track conditions and the speed rating was very good. With Dead or better track conditions next up he should prove very hard to beat.
