Caught the eye with a big finish from the back of the field, charging home out wide to get up into fourth and only 1.9 lengths from the winner. Clocked the fastest last 800m of the race. Previously a winner over 1600 meters, and this effort over 1400 looks to have her primed for a big effort over the mile next up.

 

 

Pukekohe November 22

 

 

Desperately unlucky in the Counties Cup. He was among the last to straighten for home and began to warm into his work down the outside, but was stopped in his tracks three times during the run home. He still somehow got himself going again and flashed home for fifth, beaten by a neck, two noses and another neck.

 

 

Wanganui November 22

 

 

Covered plenty of ground in a wide run in the back half of the field, but produced a sustained run to get up into second in some of the best sectionals of the race. Looks ready for 1400 metres next time.

 

 

Ascot Park November 23

 

 

This was a promising performance on debut. Was slow to begin and a clear last early in the race, but flew home down the straight to get up into fourth. Looks like a three-year-old filly worth following.
