Ascot Park October 3 – Race 5

 

 

Two starts in the South Island for two impressive wins for new trainer Kelvin Tyler. Strikes a similar field again here, with a 3kg claim, and gets through heavy ground better than most. Hard to beat again.

 

 

Matamata October 4 – Race 5

 

 

Made a huge impression with a four-length win on debut at Taupo on September 17. A similar performance here could put her right into contention for the New Zealand 1000 Guineas.

 

 

Hawera October 4 – Race 8

 

 

Has looked very good recording a win and a placing in his only two starts to date. Easy trial winner at Foxton in between times.

 

 

Phar Lap Raceway October 5 – Race 4

 

 

Runner-up in both of her last two starts, beaten by a half-head on both occasions. Doesn’t need to improve much to break through.
