Produced a big effort from last. Came widest around the home turn and made up stacks of ground in the straight, finishing second and getting within a long head of the winner. Ran the fastest last 800m, 600m, 400m and 200m.

Wanganui August 30

CHURMATT

Had to do plenty of work from the outside gate in the Wanganui Guineas but still had plenty left in the tank when challenged in the straight, fighting hard all the way to the line to be second and only half a length behind the multiple stakes winner Platinum Diamond. There was three lengths back to third. This was only his second start, so he can continue to improve.
