Oamaru August 15 – Race 1

 

 

Her last four starts have produced three second placings and a third. Her maiden win has been a long time coming as a nine-time placegetter from 28 career starts, but she may never get a better chance than this.

 

 

Ruakaka August 16 – Race 3

 

 

Looked very good as a spring three-year-old last season, and recent trials have hinted at a return to that form. Hard to beat here if he’s anywhere near his best.

 

 

New Plymouth August 16 – Race 6

 

 

Racing in top form with placings in all of this three starts this time in. Loves his home track and gets in well with apprentice jockey Frankie Barrett’s 4kg claim.

 

 

Taupo August 17 – Race 1

 

 

Strong finishes to place in all of her last four starts. Looks ready for the step up to 1800 metres and doesn’t need to improve much to pick up a well deserved first win.

 

 

Woodville August 17 – Race 3

 

 

Backing up from an eye-catching run at Te Rapa last week. Drops to an easier task for this amateur riders’ event and should go close to winning if he repeats his last-start performance.
