ALADDIN SANE
This was an eye-catching return from a talented four-year-old who hadn’t been seen at the races since January. He was taken back to last from his wide gate, then ran home strongly out wide in the straight to finish a close fourth. He has an excellent second-up record (a win and two placings from three starts), so look out for him next time.
Woodville July 13
PRINCE TURBO
Made up plenty of ground from the back of the field to be a close fourth in the maiden hurdle. He has yet to win from seven starts over hurdles, but this performance bodes well for his return to steeplechasing (three wins and a placing from five starts).

RECONVENE
Found the line in good style for second, clocking the fastest last 800m, 600m, 400m and 200m of the race. Two seconds and a fourth from three starts so far, and a maiden win doesn’t look far away.
