Still learning and didn’t help his chances when over-racing through the middle stages, but he found the line well to just miss second. Has to win one soon.

Very encouraging to see his fresh-up third behind two decent sorts. Grows another leg in the wet and shouldn’t be hard to find a win or two as tracks soften.

 

 

Trentham, March 29

 

Was a hard watch settling in the rear after a sluggish start. Still last halfway up the straight and once angled wide dashed home for a close fifth.

 

 

Tauranga, March 30

 

Wound up late for third. Still getting there but has the makings of a handy stayer, so watch out for next time over ground.
