Super impressive when winning fresh-up over 1500m this track a month ago. A month between runs is ideal and the slight increase in distance will also suit.

BELLES BEAU

A smart horse on a roll, picked up where he left when winning fresh-up at Hawera three weeks ago. Won his only start on this track and over the same distance last season.

Race 2 Waverley, Sunday October 20

SKIPPERS CANYON

Made the improvement expected of him when second at his last start and shouldn’t be a maiden any longer come Sunday. Odds will be short but a solid anchor to start the day.

Race 1 Ashburton, Sunday October 20
