Former Hong Kong galloper who caught the eye fighting hard for fourth after travelling wide on the speed. Has good form at 1600m and slightly further, so watch for him when he steps up in trip.

Went back from wide gate and didn’t get into the picture until very late when hitting the line hard for third, only a length from the winner. Has more to offer through spring.

Oamaru, September 22

BEAUJOLAIS

Showed little in two northern starts but much better in first start from new stable. Got back from wide gate and made impressive ground into fourth, so a win shouldn’t be far away.
