Sectional Standouts
Race 7 Trentham, 16 March
Geriatrix
Following a slow start he was at the back of the big field but once he got clear 300m out he charged home for fifth in the best last 200m. One to watch out for.
Race 1 Tauranga, 16 March
Black Opium
She settled back early and they didn't go hard up front. So she had her work cut out to win. But she reeled off the second fastest last 600 and 200 metres to win on debut. Looks the part as well so has a bright future.
Race 5 Tauranga, 16 March
Imperial Empress
She settled back of midfield and once she worked clear 200m out, she burst home for fourth in the best last 200, 10.84, all day. 1400m for her next up looks ideal.
Race 7 Ashburton, 14 March
Millefiori
From the wide draw she had to go back and came home in the inferior ground strongly for third in the best last 200 metres. She looks set to win fourth up.
