Race 8 - Te Rapa 31 January

Emilia Jane 

In an on-pace race that suited front runners, she came from last, to almost get up and win in excellent sectionals. She will not be a maiden very long.

Race 3 - Te Rapa 31 January

Desert Mystic 

This was his second run over ground and he was just beaten in strong sectionals. He has a good stayers action and looks primed to win next up.

Race 6 New Plymouth 3 February

Hi Yo Saas Bomb 

In a very strongly run race, he came from a long way back to get up for second in the best closing sectionals. He looked strong on the line so he be well placed next up to win a race.

Race 8 New Plymouth 3 February

Hardtimes

After settling back off a slow pace, he moved up to second down the back straight. He then went wider on the final corner and lost a few lengths. Then ran the fastest closing 200 metres of the race for third. He is a tough stayer and will be harder to beat in a more truly run race.

Race 10 Wingatui 3 February

Albazinga 

He jumped well from the wide but soon snagged back but was wide with cover. He came down the outside with good strides to run the best last 200 metres for sixth. One to follow
