Race 5 Ellerslie 27 January

Desert Lightning

After trailing a good speed in 23.92 for his first 400 metres, he was able to get clear by the turn and run home in very strong sectionals for that tempo. His race time was outstanding.

Just As Sharp

He got back but ran home very strongly in the quickest closing sectionals. He is a very promising horse and looks on track for the derby.

Race 2 Ellerslie 27 January

Petrucci

She settled last and rattled home in the quickest closing sectionals. Seems better right handed and ridden quietly.

Race 8 Riccarton 27 January

The Radiant One

She sat outside a good speed ( First 400 24.71 ) and won in very good sectionals, and fast race time for the day of 1.22.0. She is one to follow.

Race 9 Riccarton 27 January

Bello Mio

He simply got too far back in the big field for the tempo of the race, but came home strongly for second in the best closing sectionals. He must win next up in a smaller field.
