I think the inaugural running of the Elsdon Park Aotearoa Classic sets up nicely for Holymanz to be at least placing in this field. Holymanz maps to get a nice cart across the field early from the wide draw (11), with likely leader, Wessex, drawn 2 gates to his inside. If he runs up to either of his Flemington or Geelong wins this campaign, he rates a clear 2^nd best in this field behind Legarto. The services of Warren Kennedy are only a bonus, happy to play the $2.40 for Holymanz to place here.

Race 3 - #1 LA CRIQUE (Win)

La Crique is a very high-class mare resuming over 1400m here, which looks an ideal target first up. Under SW&P she gets into this race extremely well against her own sex, which only aids her chances. If Craig Grylls can be positive early, I expect she will sit outside or just off likely leader, Express Yourself, who should give La Crique a nice target to chase in the straight. If she is anywhere near her best, anything above $3.00 is a great price for mine.
