Sectional Star of the Week

Race 8 Trentham, 9 December 

Aegon

After easing for cover the pace came out of the race and he did exceptionally well to get within 1.4 lengths of the winner in the fastest closing sectionals. He looks very hard to beat in the Zabeel Classic currently at $3.

Race 7 Pukekohe, 9 December 

Apache Anne

After receiving a good run sixth on the fence, she loomed with 200m to go and fought well in the third best 200m of the race. She can only improve off that and be spot on next start.

Race 8 Pukekohe, 9 December

Arby

He looks in for a great season as he came home in the best last 200 metres and beat Desert Lightening at Awapuni last campaign. And he won the Group 1 race on Saturday!

Race 3 Trentham, 9 December 

Shamus

After settling off the pace, he wound up late to close off in the best last 200 metres. Must be hard to beat next up as he will obviously improve with that.

 

Race 9 Trentham, 9 December

Ribbons

From the wide gate she snagged back to the rear of the 18 horse field and was blocked for a run until 150 metres out. She came home strongly in the fastest last 200m of the race for eighth. She won second up last campaign and looks set to follow that pattern.
