Little Jeanie

From four back on the rails she got clear running a bit too late and flashed home for a close second in the fastest closing sectionals. She will be spot on next up.

Race 1 Otaki, 30 November

Sagunto

He may be an 8yo but he has some fight in him still. After setting a good pace here he just went down in the last few strides. He goes well second up so look out for him to lead all the way then.

Race 5 Te Rapa, 2 December 

Bea A Roca

After settling 7th outer she came home stylishly to just miss in the second best closing sectionals. She won second up last campaign and looks set to do the same.

Race 7 Te Rapa, 2 December

Mali Ston

He got back form the wide draw and answered a few questions when he came home in very good sectionals to grab third. He was held up 100m out too and the tempo favoured front runners.

Race 2 Whanganui, 2 December

Paul David

From well back in the field he came stylishly for a strong fourth in the best closing sectionals. He can do things wrong but when he learns to put it all together he will win a couple.
