The track is currently a Soft6 at time of writing on Friday afternoon. Clear forecast over the next 24 hours should see us racing on a Soft5 throughout tomorrow’s meeting. The rail was out 5m at the last meeting here 25^th November, now coming in 5m to the true position, I expect those inside lanes will be the place to be throughout the meeting.

Race 2 - #2 COOPER (Win)

The debut performance of Cooper is the best guide for him heading into Saturday’s contest. The figure he put up on debut would see him prove hard to beat again here, where I expect he will get a similar run either leading or trailing the speed throughout. Blinkers now go on 3^rd up, whilst he now gets back on to much preferable footing. He looks a great bet for mine at the $4.80 currently available.

Race 7 - #10 SHOES (Win)

Speedy filly who gets an ideal draw (1) to work with for this 2^nd up run. Shoes was ultra-impressive at Taupo first-up, where she won effortlessly over 1200m despite being 292 days between runs. The step up to 1340m doesn’t concern me, as long as she is able to dictate terms in front, or alternatively trail if another runner wants to take her on in front.
