Chances were ruined by a slipped saddle and rider had little control. Used up too much gas through the middle stages and understandably weakened to fourth. Go again.

Settled well back before storming between horses over the final stages only to be stopped in her tracks in the final few strides. That was still an excellent trial for the NZ 1000 Guineas, so stay with her.

Big effort to get home strongly for fourth just over a length from the winner. Slow starts continue to count against him and he has to be taken on trust, but the day he does get away he’ll be a winner.
