Allan Sharrock trained 3yo who has been the subject of strong early betting in this market. The $3.50 on opening has been slashed, with $2.30 currently on offer. The race experience of Crickets Chirping should stand him in good stead here. With the addition of blinkers from the inside barrier, I expect him to be right on speed and very hard to beat. $2.30 is still slight overs in my books, expect him to start odds on come the jump.

Race 7 - #2 SWEETJINEEN (Win)

Sweetjineen looks very well placed in this company with only 54.5kg on her back after Ciel Butler’s 3kg claim. She comes into this race on the fresher side having not been seen since finishing down the track at Hastings on 1^st July. Her two trial wins in the meantime have been excellent and she maps to land on speed in a race that looks devoid of any tempo. The concern would be how she copes with a genuine Heavy10 late in the day; however, I’d be happy to have a small win play at the $6.50 quote currently available regardless.
