Race 1 Riccarton, 12 July

Luscious Lover

She has had two runs over ground now and ran home strongly for second in good sectionals. The race was run in track record time so she must be hard next time.

Race 6 Cambridge, 13 July 

Ka Ying Lucky

After an awkward start, he settled sixth and was held up at a crucial stage and came home in the best last 200 metres. Nice horse.

Race 3 Otaki, 14 July 

Vesmart

His first 600 metres was run in fast time, so he did very well to hold on for second in a fast speed rating. Should improve off that.

Race 2 Ruakaka, 15 July 

Urban Myth

From being caught three wide in the open, and the fact that they walked it in front, spoke volumes for his effort to close in the best sectionals. Must be hard to beat next up with a decent run.

Race 6 Trentham, 15 July 

Kick On

From midfield he closed hard on the winner for a game second in the best last 400 and 200. He gave the winner 6.5kgs too on the heavy track.
