He was very impressive in his first-up run here over the 1400m off a 6-month break, where he didn’t receive any luck over the final 400m. His barrier manners aren’t flash; however, he has drawn a low gate (3) which should see him settling midfield close to the rail throughout. With better luck over the latter stages, he looks very hard to beat in this maiden field.

This race looks to map ideally for More Than Words, with the Parsons’ trained mare mapping to get a nice trailing position behind Cockahoop throughout. I expect Mr Hass and Secretexpress will be electing to push forward as per their typical racing pattern, which should see More Than Words poised just off these leaders on the rail. Trainer/Jockey combination of Fawcett & Parsons has been effective in the past, having won 8/19 when partnering.
