LOVERACING.NZ Preview - Cambridge Synthetic 28 June

Race 2 - #3 MONZA (Win)
The $5.00 on opening for Monza looks a great price back in R75 company. He comes into this off the back of two game efforts in Open Handicap company. The key to him is the switch back to the synthetic surface, with all four career wins coming here at this track. The wide draw (12) is a slight concern, however, there is a long run into the first corner from the 1550m start point, which should give Jasmine Fawcett plenty of time to find a position.

Race 5 - #3 MEGATRENDZ (Each Way)
Willing to take a chance and forget the recent form of this 2yo More Than Ready filly, who hasn’t flattered this time in. Megatrendz first trial on the synthetic earlier this year was very impressive to the eye, where she sat outside and went on by race rival, Sakura Season. The step up to the 1300m is a question mark, however, she maps to get a soft run behind Bevanda and Sakura Season early, which should give her every chance to see the trip out. Given Megatrendz SP’d around $9 on debut against far stronger 2yo’s than this field, the $7.50 looks a reasonable price to play at in this field.
