Race 1 - #2 RUSSIAN ROSETTE (Win)

Russian Rosette looks awfully hard to beat in this lineup off the back of her last start 2^nd to impressive subsequent winner, Watch Out. Her closing splits in the race were incredible, breaking 33s for her last 600m, whilst also running her last 200m in 10.75s (fastest of meeting). Despite Peace Lover’s recent trial win being very impressive, I had Russian Rosette marked closer to the $1.50-$1.60 mark in this lineup, making the $1.90 on open a more than fair price for mine.

Race 6 - #8 POWER ‘N’ PASSION (Each Way)

Happy to forgive her last start failure in R75 company, she looks much better placed here dropping back to R65 against the fillies and mares. Hoping Power ‘n’ Passion can settle closer to the speed from the inside barrier, as the speed in the race only looks to be moderate, with likely leaders Float and Lady Modena both drawn low. If she can settle closer and run up to her prior two performances, I think she can run a race at a nice each way price.
