LOVERACING.NZ Preview - Cambridge Synthetic 31 May
Best Bet
Race 8 - #1 POW TONG (Win)
He drops back into maiden company from a R60 2000m at this track/distance a fortnight ago, where he finished runner up only beaten 0.4L. There looks to be very little speed engaged on paper, which should see Pow Tong land handy, gaining a soft run behind likely leader, Biedermeier. With a repeat performance of his last run, he would be hard to beat in this maiden lineup.

Race 3 - #4 RADRADRA (Each Way)
Locally trained 3yo Derryn gelding who didn’t flatter on debut after being backed strongly in the market. Prior to his debut in December 2022, his trial win on the synthetic was bold, suggesting the surface poses no issues for him. He comes into this maiden assignment first up off the back of a 5-month layoff without a trial, therefore it may pay to watch the market prior to the jump.
