She settled back from the wide draw but once balanced up came home very strongly for third in the fastest closing sectionals of the day. That was an exceptional effort. Robbie Patterson should have no trouble placing her to win next start.

Race 1 Ruakaka, 12 April 

Swerve

He looks to have matured into a stronger horse and is getting the results to go with it. His time was fast and his closing sectionals were very good. One to follow with confidence on a decent surface.

Race 8 Te Rapa, 15 April

Eyesonlyonme

From a wide draw she got back and worked home strongly late in the best sectionals for fourth. She won over ground in Australia on a soft track and looks in for a strong campaign based on that run.

Race 7 Hastings, 15 April 

The Mighty Spar

In a race that suited the on pace runners, he came from near last to run fourth in the second best sectionals of the race with a final 200 metres of 11.02. He looks ready to win again off a better pace.

Sassy Chouxs

After settling behind midfield off a soft tempo, she had to change ground 200 metres out and then put her head down and close hard in the best sectionals of the race for fourth. She is improving at each start and looks set to win given a good draw next up.
