Race 1 Te Rapa, 3 February

 

Savacat

 

This was her first run over ground and she closed off nicely in the best sectionals. She should be improved by that and looks set to strike next up.

 

 

Sectional Standouts

 

Race 5 Wingatui, 4 February

 

Elsie May

 

Although she only finished seventh, she had a lot more to offer. Her last 200 metres was the best in the race and she looks a winner in the right race.

 

 

Race 10 Wingatui, 4 February

 

Tomyturbo

 

After winning his maiden race he has had wide draws which haven't been ideal. But the way he got home here for a 1.6 length eighth in the best last 200 metres means he can win in this grade.

 

 

Race 7 New Plymouth, 4 February

 

Klairelle 

 

After travelling three-wide throughout, she fought on very well for third in good sectionals. The first two home got much better runs.

 

 

Race 2 Tauranga, 5 February

 

Humboldt

 

It was only a small field and he had a good run in the trail, but he got home in the best sectionals and the track didn't suit him. So as the tracks get firmer, he can be followed with confidence.
