KANUKA: Well supported on debut but had to settle on a midfield finish after racing keenly and then not having much room to work in over the final stages. Better for the experience and worth staying with.

BITCOIN: Settled in the rear after early check then had to find clear air. Really steamed home the last bit and went down narrowly to a farm more experienced rival. Has it all in front of him.

KING OF HEARTS: Big effort to finish fourth after getting back in early run and then having to make his own luck. Prefers rain-affected ground and shouldn’t lack for opportunities.

Gore Sunday December 18

RITA HAYWORTH: Did a lot mid-race after slow start, took over on the turn but was a sitting duck and was nabbed short of the line. Run of placings deserves better.
