Pinarello Race 8 Ellerslie 19 February

The way he won this shows he will relish the 2400m of the Derby. His last 200m of 11.55 was the fastest of any winner on the day and he wasn't driven out to do it. That indicates, that on a decent surface for the Derby ( Currently $6 ) , he can win it. May pay to wait till we know the track conditions before backing him though.

Bella Luce Race 2 Ellerslie 19 February

Considering she set up the fastest first 400m all day and still stuck on gamely for second, in the fastest speed rated race all day, shows she has the ability to win at least another race.

Hit The Road Jack Race 4 Ellerslie 19 February

He was the eyecatcher in the last 200 metres and his 11.90 sectional was only beaten by the winner. His wet track form is very good so at $10 for the Auckland Cup, he is worth a dollar or two now.

Giacomo Race 5 Ellerslie 19 February

After being handy 3 wide in the open on an even tempo, he did very well to fight on for fifth. That's two runs in a row since a break he has had bad luck now, so maybe third time lucky he can get a decent run and win again.

Tellall Race 6 Ellerslie 19 February

From midfield  3 wide with cover, he did very well to close off late in the third best last 200m. Just needs a good draw now to win again.
