Hampered at the start and ended up in an awkward spot, then green around the turn as he worked out wide to make his run. Third place in the circumstances was a very promising effort.

Isla Jay Race 8 Te Rapa November 20

Rating 65 mare racing well out of her grade, forced to cover ground from wide draw but was still right in action until short of the finish before finishing sixth. Back to her own class she will be hard to beat.

Power ‘N’ Glory Race 3 Awapuni November 20

Unable to get a shot in after having to be eased in the running. Fifth place was better than it might have looked, worth another chance.
