It was only his second run back, so to come from last to get up for second in the best closing sectionals shows he is right on track to return here in two weeks and go one better.

After getting well back and then getting into tight quarters, he flew home in strong sectionals. Looks set to win next-up, as long as there is a good tempo up front.

Verry Flash Race 7 Riccarton Park August 7

The way he kept finding the line wide out in strong sectionals, while the first two covered less ground, shows he is going to be very hard to beat next up over more ground.

Koolascuz Race 2 Cambridge August 4

His closing sectionals were the best in the race in all categories over the 1550m. He won his race over 2000m, so you would think peaking next-up over more ground, he will be harder to beat.
