A big effort for third after working hard early to get the lead and then be challenged at the top of the straight. He fought hard all the way to the finish and was beaten by just two necks.

Had a red flashing light on him as he dashed home from well back to finish equal third. That suggests he’s ready to step back up to 1600m and when he does, make sure you’re on.
