THIS WEEK’S BLACKBOOKERS
Kid Roc Race 3 Pukekohe 23 June
The way he closed off for second in the best last 400 and 200 metres shows he has the ability to win at least a maiden.
Swiss Kitty Race 1 Tauranga 26 June
He almost lost the rider on jumping and landed three back on the inner, then powered home in the second best sectionals, which showed he is a versatile and promising galloper.
Sussex Race 3 Tauranga 26 June
The way she closed off late from back in the running from a wide draw, in the best closing sectionals, shows she has come back very well. She can race on the speed which is always an asset.
Lot Of Zees Race 4 Tauranga 26 June
Considering she did the most work in the race out wide on even sectionals and was still able to hold on for fifth, less than four lengths from the winner, shows she just needs a decent run to win again on a heavy track.
Electric Lady Race 3 Riccarton Park 26 June
Slow away and from well back in the running over the 800 metres, she had to clear traffic and made up plenty of ground in the last 100 metres, running the best last 200m to finish into third. That gives every indication she will relish more ground, so watch out for her then.
Pochesti Race 3 Te Aroha June 27
Did all the donkey-work only to be run down in the final stride. That was a huge improvement on previous form and bodes well for the future.
