MILFORD SOUND: The Southern raider settled towards the rear of the field for the majority of the race. On the corner had to ride for luck under Sam Collett, once she got balanced the turn of foot was evident finishing off very strongly for third with the fastest last 400msectionals.

KHAFEEF: The Kevin Myers trained runner had to contest a wide barrier draw from the outset, jumped with the field but was restrained back to las on the first corner. From the 1000m, Asano started to make a move around the large field but was still 14 lengths of the leaders, had to race wide but stormed home late in the piece.
