R7 Avantage: Talented mare that has been unlucky to run into Melody Belle in a few Group 1s, deserved favourite for the big race. Levante clearly the biggest threat but is yet to get past Avantage to date.

R8 Thunder: The Bob Autridge trained galloper that showed a bit of talent in his last campaign. Gets the aid of Opie Bosson, is also a course/distance winner.

Pukekohe 11^th April

R2 Fast Willie: Wexford Stables has had a fair amount of success in the Hermitage colours and could go well in this. Fast Willie won his maiden well at Awapuni, gets a kilo off with the apprentice on board and the extra distance should suit.
