The Waverley Racing Club was established in 1874 and is a very strong and proactive club. There are three race meetings per year – the November date is our feature day with the Waverley Cup for $50,000 in stake money. This is a major event and well supported by the Waverley community. The facilities on-course comprise of two grandstands – the Main Stand and the Members Stand which featured in the movie “Came a Hot Friday”. Marquees are set up for our sponsors, corporates and the Country Punter of the Year.
Parking is in the paddock next to the Race course and is free of charge.
Eftpos is available at the Secretary’s Office on race day.
Food is provided by Raceway Creative Catering Palmerston North – ranging from hot chips and hot dogs – through to formal luncheons.
Bars are available seven locations around the course.
Hospitality - Marquees are available to hire for corporate/social functions.

Home to Waverley Racing Club, the track was upgraded in 2005 and a new running rail installed in April 2006. The facilities are two grandstands – the Main Stand and the Members Stand which featured in the movie Good Bye Pork Pie. Marquees are set up for the day for sponsors, corporate and the Country Punter of the Year..
