It has been well documented that the Hawke’s Bay region has had some severe weather in the previous few days.

There are however no issues with the Saturday 29^th race meeting proceeding.  The heavy rainfall has subsided and surrounding roads are open.

There are a few showers forecast between now and Saturday but the track is improving and the water is working its way through the profile, with no ‘pooling’ evident on the surface.   The track will be a genuine heavy track, but there are no safety concerns at this stage.
