The 30 March Raceday, incorporating the G1 NZ Thoroughbred Breeders’ Stakes, will now be held by Auckland Thoroughbred Racing at Ellerslie, and not at Te Aroha. After an inspection of the Te Aroha track last Friday it was evident that the current issues with the Te Aroha track will not be remedied in time to hold this important raceday.

This day also stages the Pearl Series Final. The conditions of this race are as below:

Open to all horses that are eligible for the Pearl Series. Apprentice Allowances.

The stake of this race is $40,000 with the following bonuses available.

1^st           $70,000                 2^nd          $20,000                 3^rd           $10,000. These are owner bonuses with no trainer or rider deductions.

There will be travel subsidies available for the Pearl Series Final of $500 and $1,000 for horses trained in the CD and South Island respectively provided these horses start.
