Following the abandonment of today’s Hawke’s Bay Racing Inc. race meeting at Hastings Racecourse, Raceday Abandonment Protocols have been activated due to the abandonment being track related. This will include a full review of the Club’s track preparation, with NZTR having also contracted New Zealand Sports Turf Institute to attend the track tomorrow to provide a report on the surface and identify any issues.

Once all reports have been received and considered NZTR will advise of what further action will be taken by the end of next week.
