A change in a number of Winter dates will see the Otaki-Maori RC once again host the Matariki Raceday in 2023.

After a successful meeting was held on the inaugural celebration of the start of Maori New Year on June 24 2022, this year will see the celebrated day and public holiday land on Friday 14 July.

To facilitate this, and work in with other servicing requirements, the Wanganui JC meeting currently scheduled for Thursday 13 July now take Otaki’s day on 23 June. Other necessary changes see Canterbury JC move from Friday 14 July to Wednesday 12 July while Cambridge JC moves from 12 July to 13 July.

Friday 23 June now Wanganui JC at Wanganui (was Otaki-Maori RC)

Wednesday 12 July now Canterbury JC at Riccarton Park (was Cambridge JC)

Thursday 13 July now Cambridge JC at Cambridge (was Wanganui JC)

Friday 14 July now Otaki-Maori RC at Otaki – Matariki (was Canterbury JC)
