12 horses galloped this morning on the course proper at Wingatui. They mainly galloped in lots of four with senior riders Jake Lowry, Corey Campbell and Shankar Muniandy being three of the riders.

The track was rated in the Soft 6/7 range and in drizzling rain at times. All riders reported they were very happy with the track and an inspection showed the horses were getting solid footing in the ground with plenty of give.

These gallops were undertaken in the presence of both the RIB and track manager who were satisfied with the track and happy to proceed to raceday on Tuesday 1 November.
