Jockey Matthew Cameron is now a prohibited person under the Third Schedule of the New Zealand Rules of Racing, following his conviction in the Hamilton District Court today.

Accordingly, under Rule 301 (4) his license has been automatically revoked for two years.  He is also excluded absolutely from entering any racecourse.  Cameron is able to apply for an exemption from being a prohibited person via the Exemptions Committee, however, would then have to reapply for his licence.
