Following recent, heavy rainfall in the Palmerston North region, the outside bend at Awapuni is not fit for purpose. 

To provide a more consistent surface for the entirety of racing, the decision has been made to use the inside bend for Saturday’s meeting.  This decision was made following an inspection of the track on Friday afternoon by Club representatives, the RIB, and Jockey & Trainer Representatives.

Two distance changes will be required.  The R74 1600m race will now be 1550m and the OPN 2300m race will now be 2250m.
