The Tauherenikau track has come up as a Slow9 on nomination morning. Following the abandonment of the Masterton meeting at that venue in March remedial work was done on the track including it being scarified and under-sowed out to 12m. In June the track was sand-banded from the 1100m to the crossing.

Three horses were galloped on the track last week with the course manager and RIB in attendance. Both were more than satisfied with the way the track performed including the area of concern back in March.
